The Mighty have fallen and some birds

What a dull day here in the South of England. No sun today just cloud. So what to do? Nothing came to mind as Mike and I have planned a trip out for Wednesday to Blean Woods, with Sue.

So that still leaves today. I thought that I would take a trip to Berengrave Nature Reserve. But first there was a knock at the door, it was my neighbour she had stabbed herself opening a bottle. Don't ask coz I don't know. Anyway she is 83 so she can do stupid things if she wants to. You don't have to be 83 to do stupid things. I patched her up and away she went, it is going to hurt tomorrow.

Off to Berengrave, still dull and no gaps in the cloud. I looked round and there was only one Dove sitting in a tree that I could see. I did find some interesting tree that had blown over, some years ago.

Some of these were laying on the path and some to the side. Just imagine what they were like years ago.

Coot
I walked up to the lake and found the resident Coot. This was the best picture coz he would not come out of the trees.

After this I got home and there were two Greenfinches on the feeder.

No Red head so I think they are females
It has take over two months for them to start feeding here, so I hope they come back.

That's it for today. Please: fingers xxx for Blean Wood to morrow

She is right I do only know Pigeons and Dove, but with Eileen's help I am learning.
