Dull Day but not

Hi All
Well this looked like it was going to be a wet dull day but by the time I needed to go shopping it was quite bright. The rain was so bad I had to take the car to the paper shop.

After shopping a friend phoned to say he was going to come and sort out my Sky Dish. I seems that when I had the H D fitted they should have changed the dish for a bigger one and didn't. Every time it poured hard the picture would go off. He came round a few weeks ago and said nearly everything wanted changing. This he did this afternoon. I have now twice the signal that I had before.

While this was going on  found something for OTL. A toadstool growing on the lawn, in fact  a cluster of Four.

There is not muchroom here!

After this my friend Peter phoned and ask if I would like to go to Canterbury  to the observatory. I said yes as it was better than staying in doors.

Wow, I am glad I did as there was high cloud and really only Jupiter to see. What  a sight it was the best that I have seen ever. The detail was brilliant. and we all (6 of us) saw things that some had never seen before.

I won't go on but I got home just after 2300.

What was going to be a bad day turned into a really good one.

If no rain tomorrow I may get out.

Have fun
