Up close and personal

Something different today. Yes the camera came out but so did the close-up lens a X4.


This means that the tripod was needed as well but the main problem is any wind. You are so close that any wind blurs the image, I have on to show what the effect is.

The other problem which is hard to get right is the depth of field. You have such a limited focal length that if the object is large the back is out of focus. Deciding what you want in focus is the name of the game.

Here is a bud where the font is focused and the rear isn't.

The next two should all be ok even at high magnification 

Both of these were taken at just over 6inches away.
