The mooring but no boat
There were plenty of people about drinking and play on the river.
Playing in the sunshine. People were very friendly and chatted to us.
I had a look up and down the bank.
Then all of a sudden she appeared
This was the best picture that I manage to get of her
Once we boarded and shown to our seats the boat set off.
After a short time it stopped to pick up our fish and chip supper and of course the bar was open.
In the middle of Maidstone just in front of the Bishops Palace
Out to the road
Of cause being on the river were the Swans
Canada Geese
Farleigh Lock where we turned round to go home. by this time it was after 8 and the light was fading. By the time we moored it was bad light but I needed one more shot.
The paddles and she is moored up for the night.
In all we all enjoyed the trip but it is fully booked for the month of August.
We all are going to book another trip for next summer at the end of the year.
I hope you enjoyed as much as we did.
Hi Trev, we did this trip last year with a load of women for Sue's ladies guild, what a noise. Lol
ReplyDeleteYour sailing time was probably better that ours with the light, brings back memories at Daisy was on board too. Like the one with the boat coming back into the sunshine the best with the reflection, well done
Glad you had a good evening, it was perfectly grand weather to be on the river. Plenty to see and photograph, All Saints Church and the Archbishops Palace are really lovely, also the thistly things just lend themselves. You must go along the river bank, there is a good path and seats.
ReplyDeleteFunny enough the light was not that good as it was in the wrong direction and made the shots dark.
ReplyDeleteYou do get a different point of view from the river.
Debbie kept us entertained the whole trip and made us all feel at home.
Looking forward to a trip next year.
Lovely post Trev ... I enjoyed looking at every picture and feel quite jealous of you all ... looks fabulous
