Reflections, Spring and Birds

Hello All
Well it is Easter weekend as as normal the weather is unsettled. I decided to go out as it seemed ages since I had been out, it was last weekend I think. Well it was a nice morning with the weather going to change for the afternoon.

I went to my usual haunt of Motney Hill end of Riverside. The wind was light but quite cold so I was glad I had a winter coat on. There were a few people about and one or two birdwatchers.

One thing that stands out in the week that I haven't been there was the blossom on the trees  bushes.

Some of the bushes on the riverbank

Then of course there were the Birds, the tide was starting to come back in and there were loads of reflection. With a little wind they were not quite as good as I would have liked. This was on the way to Bloors deep channel

More reflections

Just to show how light the wind was to a look at the smoke

I took lots more but that will do for now.

It had started to warm up and when I got back to the car it was really hot.

Birds seen were Gulls, Shelduck's, Oyster Catchers, Mallards,  Curlew, Brent Geese and a few Teals.

The birds are now starting to pair up ready to start breeding.

If the weather is good I will try and get out tomorrow (better than staying in)

Thanks for looking.

  2. Well done Trevor this is an excellent blog, the pictures are superb. You went at just the right time with the water and blue skies gave beautiful images. As it happened the afternoon weather was also good but we never know.
Look forward to seeing more of your Good Friday foray into the depths of Motney Hill.
