Mote Park

Hi All,
Before Mike, Sue and I went shopping on Wednesday  and after the crisis with the Gulls we managed a few pictures. The trouble was my mind was not really on what I was doing. The light started to fade which did not help. Some pictures are a bit noisy if you blow them up.

Anyway we tried to make the most of it.

Canada Geese with not a care in the world

Wot do you want
Swan taking notice, wanted food.

More Geese
I wish I had a longer neck

Not enough flying speed
They never got into the air

Coot at 900 MPH
Look at the bow wave

These birds are fast really fast

That is it for now.
As it is the start of BBC2 Stargazing Live month I may not be around for a while. I hope to look at your pictures but mat not do any posts.

Have fun..

  3. You found some worthy contenders for your Blog and those Coots sure know how to speed, good job there isn't a speed limit on the lake.
Venice have speed cops monitoring the boats on the canals due to the erosion of the banks and they catch a few "boy racers" and heavily fine them.

  4. Now this may bore a few. Tonight MKAS was the first club to go live for the BBC. We had 400+ at Mote Park tonight. We are hoping for the same tomorrow.
Next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we are at Dockside from 1930. Then Friday we are at the Bredhurst Village Hall at 1945.

The Programme I believe is on the 16th with Brain Cox.
A great lot of interest as Mike will tell you (he was there).

  5. Yes a very good evening was had by all, got introduced to loads of people and made to feel at home.

Good blog Trev and nice pictures, I had a bad day with the birds and deleted most of them, still good old Trev won the day.

  6. I am glad you had a good time, I was not as busy as I thought I would be. I think that was because Peter and I arrived late.

400+ through the door not bad. I hope we get the same tonight.
