Dull Day but not

Hi All
Well this looked like it was going to be a wet dull day but by the time I needed to go shopping it was quite bright. The rain was so bad I had to take the car to the paper shop.

After shopping a friend phoned to say he was going to come and sort out my Sky Dish. I seems that when I had the H D fitted they should have changed the dish for a bigger one and didn't. Every time it poured hard the picture would go off. He came round a few weeks ago and said nearly everything wanted changing. This he did this afternoon. I have now twice the signal that I had before.

While this was going on  found something for OTL. A toadstool growing on the lawn, in fact  a cluster of Four.

There is not muchroom here!

After this my friend Peter phoned and ask if I would like to go to Canterbury  to the observatory. I said yes as it was better than staying in doors.

Wow, I am glad I did as there was high cloud and really only Jupiter to see. What  a sight it was the best that I have seen ever. The detail was brilliant. and we all (6 of us) saw things that some had never seen before.

I won't go on but I got home just after 2300.

What was going to be a bad day turned into a really good one.

If no rain tomorrow I may get out.

Have fun

  1. Glad you got out and had a good day. I'm getting fed up with working supposed to be retired. Still the Loo is finished plumber wise. Got to decorate the top half of it now...booo

  2. Sounds like you had a good time Trev .... OTL has a 'thing ' about Fungi at the moment cos they make such good subjects to take photos of and don't get fed up standing around waiting! lol xxxx

  3. Well Mike I have taken a week off of working in the house and fell a lot better for it. I will clear up the dining room next week and get the shack sorted.

That is right Eileen they don't move. Mike and I have not found many but we keep looking.

    Have a good weekend.

  4. Glad you had a good day Trev !
