I never thought that I would get round to doing this blog for ages. Well I do at last have a bit of time.
Sunday was the Ramsgate club car show which is a get together of all the clubs in Kent and called "The Kent Hop". It started off from Gravesend town centre.
Martin, Stan and me set off around 0830 to head for Gravesend. We met up the what seemed hundreds of Morris Minors. After an hour we set off on a trip round Wothham and Meopham to Cobham. We ended up At Fort Amhurst for the rest of the day.
As you may know we do our own cooking at shows and the same this time. As luck would haveit we got a place out of the wind (lucky for the cooker).
On to the maim event, no order just picture.
Now this is the type of car that Stan passed his test in and he says that he is going to get one to restore after he retire.
The owner of this one told us that this spent a long time in a garage in Devon before being brought up to Maidstone where it is driven most weeks. It still need some work done on it but seeing it was laid up it is not bad.
When we first saw this at Gravesend it had a water leak. The owner replaced the little by-pass hose before setting off. That was a pig of a job when I did them, so rather him than me...
Behind the Hornet is Martins Morris Minor a 1068. We found out on this run that it will be needing a "new" engine next year. The young lady standing in the picture owns the Morris that came from Devon.
Now a look round the show.
